Overview
While you might think you're the only one who can't do graphic design, we're here to tell you: anyone can! Even you. In this course, we'll teach you everything you need to know to get started in interface design, motion graphics, and editorial design. No matter what kind of graphic designer you want to be—or whether you don't even know yet—you'll learn how to communicate effectively through image-making and typography in a way that will leave your friends wondering where they went wrong.

This course is for designers and creatives learning graphic design, who want to create their own brand and build their portfolio.
This course is part of a larger curriculum that will teach you all the fundamentals of graphic design, build your portfolio, and help you find your first job as a professional designer.
By the end of this course, you'll know how to brainstorm and execute a branding project from beginning to end. You'll be able to approach work with empathy for the users, define a problem space, research your target audience, and create an on-brand name and visual identity system. You'll learn about different types of typography, composition, color theory, iconography, and more—all so you can make beautiful design that's both functional and meaningful for your users.
